Bwalia, the CEO and brains behind the Zed Arts brand, turned 23 this week on the 7th of September. She’s known to have launched Zed Arts back in 2017, when she was just 19, before partnering with Natasha Chansa to also create Zed Arts Records. She has often cited her age as playing a role in some people not taking her seriously.

Despite being very young, her contribution to the Zambian music industry has been very significant. While most managers are known to work with only already established or buzzing acts, she alongside industry players like Abel Black are some of the few artist managers who have built artist brands from scratch and succeeded at making an impact using limited resources. 

She currently oversees 4 artists, namely Natasha Chansa, Foreighn, Sean Trey and Mich. One of Bwalia’s biggest dreams is to see her artists winning BETs and Grammys.

Besides music, Bwalia is also an actress, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She was also the recipient of an Anakazi Women of the Year Award for Digital Media.
