Up until this point the names HMac and XYZ have been synonymous. He played a very vital role in the establishment of the label. But as fate would have it, HMac has left XYZ. His press statement was published earlier this morning with him stating the following:

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the entire XYZ crew and management for trusting me and according me an opportunity to be part of this great organisation. I have dedicated a little over a decade of my life to this organisation and together we have achieved greatness. It has been a journey filled with a lot of highs and lows alike. I can not be more thankful to you our lovely fans and supporters for standing by us through and through. Special thanks goes to Mr. Musonda (Slapdee) for believing in me at such a young age to manage not only his brand but the brands of all artists that have ever been signed to this mighty record label.

However, change in life is inevitable and I do feel like I have given the organization my very best and for lack of a better term, I have hit the ceiling and I feel it’s time for others to step in and offer new energy. I therefore wish to announce my step down and official departure from XYZ Entertainments Ltd. I wish this organisation the very best going forward and I believe without a doubt that the organisation will continue to thrive as it always has. I will in due time share my future plans.

The reasons for this departure are yet to be established. But one thing is clear, HMac has plans to bounce back under a different established. Let’s wait and see how this pans out.
